Rhobonda gaurisana Walker  

This species was described by Walker in 1863 from a female specimen collected in Brazil (see reference for the original description below). The holotype is deposited at the BMNH (see images). It is distributed at least as far north as Costa Rica. Females and males are dimorphic, differing in coloration of the hindwing (see images of a male and female specimen).
